January Prayer & Fasting Schedule

Full Fast: Jan 03 – Jan 10 (voluntary) 

No meals.  You may use essential liquids (i.e water, broth, tea and diluted juices).

Prayer & Fast Meeting Times:

Prayer & Fast Kickoff – Saturday January 3rd @ 6:30pm. Live at Metro

Prayer & Fast First Week – Jan. 5th – Jan. 10th @ 6:30pm. Live at Metro

 

Partial Fast: Jan 11 – Jan 31 (voluntary) 

If possible please deny at least one meal daily or as the Lord leads.

Prayer & Fast remainder of January  – Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s @7pm on Zoom.

 

 

During this year’s fast time we will be reading “The Potential and Power of Prayer” by Chuck Lawless. Please bring this book (available for purchase below), along with the workbook (available for free download below), to each meeting time.

  Prayer & Fasting FAQ’s

How can I get the most out of the prayer and fasting time?

* Engage in personal & or household prayer & bible reading.

* Attend weekly congregational prayer  (Sunday 8:45am) in the fellowship hall.

* Attend One Daily Prayer Gathering (Mon. -Fri. 7am or 12n / Sat. 8am) via  phone conference.

* Attend Evening Sacrifice Sacred Assembly 01/03-10/26 at 7pm in fellowship hall  or zoom — see announcements for location.

* Complete workbook assignments.

* Discuss, apply principles & pray together with family or with another MCWC member. 

Prayer and Fasting Do's and Dont's *Please Read*

* You do not have to participate in the fast portion of the prayer and fast time if you take medications that require food or if you have other health related challenges. Please continue to participate in prayer.

* You do not have to participate in the fast portion of the payer and fast time if you have strenuous labor requirements. Please be wise and seek the the wisdom of the Lord in making your decision to partciapte in the fasting. Please continue to participate in prayer.

* Please stop fasting if you begin to experience serious health effects or if you cannot complete normal daily tasks (i.e. work, speaking, thinking coherently, walking, driving. etc.) Seek medical help immediately. Please continue to participate in prayer.
